The Words
|
The
words by which we once lived, Have
changed our lives so. Never
quite knowing what to believe Never
knowing which way to go. The
words by which we once lived, Kindled
a fire deep in our souls. Torn
between our own passion – Passion
our only goal. The
words by which we once lived, Have
dimmed the memory of our other life. Living
in the text of man, Knowing
only trouble and strife. Know
ye… Our
pursuit for passion Has
brought us neither fortune nor fame. Realizing,
after all these years, Our
lives have been nothing more than a game. The
words by which we once lived, Have
lied to us – in all our innocence. What
was taken for granted, Is
but a memory in the past tense. June
